Author Guidelines

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
Noblesse Oblige Law Journal (NOLAN) welcomes contributions to article manuscripts on the stated focus and scope. Authors are advised to submit manuscripts early before the publication date, to ensure that each submitted article goes through a review and process before publication. Please note that by submitting a manuscript here, you confirm that you are the corresponding/submitting author, and the Journal may retain your email address to communicate with you about the submitted manuscript.

LANGUAGE

  • Manuscripts submitted can be in English or Indonesian
  • Use spelling style and punctuation consistently.
  • Please do not use language that contains discriminatory elements, racial elements, or sexist elements.

FORMAT AND STYLE

  • The manuscript is written using Book Antiqua font (12 pt) and 1.15 pt spacing.
  • Article manuscripts consist of 5000 words to 12,000 words, including title, abstract, contents of the manuscript, tables, images and references. The editor has the right to reject manuscripts of less than 5000 words or more than 12,000 words.
  • Submitted manuscripts must include a minimum of 20 references covering 80% of journal articles published in the last 10 (ten) years and the other 20% can come from books, research reports, or other relevant publication references.
  • Citations and bibliography must be written in the American Psychological Association 6th citation style. Please use the Reference Manager application (Mendeley and Zotero). All sources cited in the manuscript must be included as a bibliography, arranged alphabetically by the author.
  • Submitted manuscripts must fulfill the existing elements according to the article manuscript template (can be downloaded)


MANUSCRIPT OUTLINE
TITLE OF THE ARTICLE
The article title consists of 8-15 words with Book Antiqua font (16pt), Center, Bold, Capitalize Each Word.

AUTHOR 
Write an author's statement with the following details:
-  Full author's name (name cannot be abbreviated)
-  without a degree,
-  without position,
-  affiliation (Department/Faculty, Institution, country)
-  active email address as primary correspondence

ABSTRACT
Written in English and Indonesian, Book Antiqua font (9pt), justify, italic, 1 space, consisting of 100-250 words. The abstract contains: Background, objectives, main questions or problems, research methods used, findings/novelty.

KEYWORDS
-  Keywords consist of 3-5 keywords,
-  Keyword phrases should be no more than 3 syllables.
-  Keywords do not mention the name of the institution, rules, or location
-  Customize the order of keywords (alphabet, or specific to general)

INTRODUCTION
The introduction contains a description of the background, the problem to be studied accompanied by a gap analysis between das sollen (description of provisions, principles, principles, applicable legal doctrine) and das sein (description of empirical facts).
The introduction contains a brief description of the background of the main problems of the issue to be researched, accompanied by a gap between das solen (description of applicable provisions, principles, principles, legal doctrine) and das sein (description of empirical facts); description of the research objectives; a brief description of the novelty of research results / state of the art (referring to at least 5 articles from 3 accredited national journals and 2 international journals) for comparison with previous research; and ends with research contributions.

RESEARCH METHOD
The research method contains a description of the method used, research approach, data collection techniques, research specifications, and data analysis methods used in the research.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION
The research results and discussion are explained descriptively scientifically, analytically and critically. Descriptions of results and discussions are written in essay form, so there is no numerical or alphabetical format to separate chapters/sections, or to mark new chapters/sections. Tables and figures/graphs are only included in the discussion. Tables are created with horizontal lines only.

CONCLUSION
It is a short answer to the problem being discussed, so that the writing is adjusted to the order of the research problem. Conclusions are not made in points, but are described.

REFERENCES
Bibliography must be written in the American Psychological Association 6th Edition citation style, a minimum of 20 references covering 80% of scientific journal articles that have been published in the last 10 years, and the other 20% can come from books, research reports, or other relevant published references) with a distance of 1.15 spaces, Book Antiqua font, font size 12. Please use the Reference Manager application (Mendeley and Zotero). All sources cited in the manuscript must be included in the bibliography.
