Seaweed is one of the fishery resources widely utilized by fishing communities along the coastline, as it is easy to cultivate and provides economic benefits. This study aims to determine the physical and chemical conditions of the seaweed cultivation area in Bungin Permai Waters and the suitability of Bungin Permai Waters for seaweed cultivation development. The study will be conducted over one month, from December 29, 2024, to January 29, 2025. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the physical parameters of the Bungin Permai water body are as follows: depth ranging from 1.31 to 3.71 meters, current speed ranging from 0.054 to 0.086 meters per second, temperature ranging from 32.6 to 33°C, and turbidity ranging from 0.76 to 2. 16 m, salinity ranging from 24.7 to 27 ppt, and chemical parameters including pH ranging from 7.1 to 7.3, dissolved oxygen ranging from 5.6 to 5.8 mg/L, nitrate ranging from 0.143 to 0.167 mg/L, and phosphate ranging from 0.054 to 0.062 mg/L. The Bungin Permai water area is divided into three categories of suitability: highly suitable at stations 3 and 4, suitable at station 1, and unsuitable at station 2.
